Greenwood Airshow in Honor of U.S. Marine Corporal Lucket (Lucky) Lamar Henderson and Allen Ross

Saturday May 30, 2015

Greenwood-Leflore Airport

10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Join us at the Greenwood Airshow featuring the AeroShell Acrobatic Team, warbirds, free plane and helicopter rides, and live music. We will be flying our Texas T-Cart, a highly modified 1946 Clipped-wing Taylorcraft BC-12D. Over the years this act has become a genuine crowd favorite with its graceful presentation of old-time barnstorming grassroots aerobatics and we are proud to be flying in memory of my father, U.S. Marine Corporal Lucket (Lucky) Lamar Henderson, and Allen Ross, consummate aviator and Kosciusko Airport Manager.

Was so excited to see your airshow listed on the Milavia air show calendar and that it wasn’t to far from us since we are senior citizens in AR, two hours west of Greenville, so we were planning to come. There are not that many shows to go to any more. Your schedule stated the show is from 10am-9pm, the gates don’t open till 11am??? Then the airshow itself doesn’t start till 3pm??? That is a little late, especially for people that have a long drive home. Never heard of a airshow starting that late in the day, except for a night show we attended years ago in north AR and we couldn’t see anything. Guess we won’t get to make it after all. Just wish it was earlier, most shows usually start at noon or 1pm. Thank you for allowing me to make a comment.

Sorry Yall! The Performers have nothing to do with the scheduling and the powers that do are strictly unpaid volunteers-please understand that. You’ll notice that the Aeroshell Team, the finest Aerobatic Team in the world are going to be there,
along with some of the TOP and Most Popular Aerobatic Pilot Teams in the World.

This elite group that we are very lucky to get to visit Greenwood, Miss (I am a Kosciusko, Miss. Native and mostly volunteered because MY MOMMA might be able to be there from hometown Forty Miles away) is a reason that it is scheduled that way, one being that with A LOT BIGGER
VENUES wanting to pay them a LOT MORE than Greenwood and surrounding
folks can afford to pay them, WE ARE ALL, INCLUDING Aerobatic Performers
mostly VOLUNTEERS also. This is OUR INCOME and it takes LOTS OF FINANCIAL
    COMMITMENT to make this work.

Please maybe come to close by the day before, but also, the Aerobatics don’t start I think til later in the day.

    Hope yall understand now!

    YALL COME!

What’s the cost of admission? I don’t see it anywhere.
